ReefDeck is a logbook tool — not an aquarium advisor, veterinarian, or expert service. It records data you enter and displays it back to you. It does not provide advice, diagnoses, recommendations, or guidance of any kind.
ReefDeck is a personal logbook application designed to help reef tank hobbyists record, organize, and visualize their own data. It is the digital equivalent of a spreadsheet or notebook.
ReefDeck does not provide, and should not be construed as providing, any of the following:
— Advice on reef tank husbandry, water chemistry management, or livestock care.
— Recommendations on dosing, chemical additions, or equipment adjustments.
— Diagnoses of disease, stress, or environmental problems affecting any aquatic organism.
— Any representation that a water parameter value is "safe," "dangerous," "normal," or "abnormal."
When ReefDeck displays that a value is "outside your set range," it is reporting a factual comparison between the number you entered and the threshold limits you configured. This is not advice. You set the thresholds. You interpret the result. You decide what, if anything, to do.
All decisions regarding the care, management, feeding, treatment, or husbandry of any aquatic organism, reef tank, or aquarium system are solely your responsibility. You use ReefDeck entirely at your own risk.
ReefDeck does not accept responsibility for any harm to aquatic organisms, equipment damage, property damage, financial loss, or any other consequence arising from your use of the logbook — including but not limited to: incorrect data entry, misinterpreted charts, missed readings, threshold misconfiguration, or any action or inaction based on data displayed by ReefDeck.
ReefDeck is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the application is error-free, continuously available, or that data stored in your browser will not be lost. Browser storage (localStorage/IndexedDB) is subject to being cleared by your browser, device, or operating system. Always maintain your own backups using the Export function.
ReefDeck records the data you enter. It does not verify, validate, or cross-check any measurement you provide. The accuracy of charts, summaries, and threshold comparisons depends entirely on the accuracy of the readings you enter. ReefDeck makes no representation about the accuracy of any measurement method, test kit, probe, or equipment you use.
Threshold alerts in ReefDeck are purely informational. They compare a value you entered against a range you configured. They are not safety warnings, emergency alerts, or guidance of any kind. An alert does not mean your tank is in danger. The absence of an alert does not mean your tank is healthy. Only you — informed by your own knowledge, experience, and resources — can make that determination.
ReefDeck includes an optional dose calculator. It performs only basic arithmetic on values you enter — your tank's water volume, your current and target readings, and the dose rate you read off your own supplement's label. ReefDeck does not contain, recommend, or endorse any dosing recipe, product, or amount of its own. It does not know your supplement, your livestock, or your tank.
Any figure the calculator displays is the mathematical result of the numbers you supplied and nothing more. It is not a recommendation to add any substance to your aquarium. Always follow the instructions printed on your own product, dose gradually, verify with a test kit, and make your own decisions. Dosing chemicals into a reef tank carries real risk; you accept that risk entirely.
The maintenance scheduler tracks recurring tasks and intervals that you create, and may show optional browser notifications when a task you defined is due. These reminders are a convenience timer, not husbandry guidance — ReefDeck does not tell you what to do to your tank or when your tank actually needs it. Reminders depend on your browser and device and may be delayed or missed; do not rely on them as a safety mechanism.
For questions about reef tank chemistry, livestock health, or aquarium management, consult qualified reef hobbyist resources, experienced aquarists, aquatic veterinarians, or marine biology professionals. Community resources such as Reef2reef.com and r/ReefTank can provide guidance from experienced hobbyists. ReefDeck is not a substitute for any of these.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ReefDeck and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with your use of the logbook, however caused and regardless of the theory of liability.
